Our story
Om Travels was started by a telecom engineer
The room where nobody asks why
Before 2012, Sachin Jaglan worked in a network operations centre at Airtel. When something breaks in a room like that, nobody wants to hear the reason. They want to know when it will be back, they want it in writing, and there is a clock running from the minute it is logged.
He left in 2012 and brought the clock with him.
Om is his father’s name
He started the business that year and put his father’s name on it. It is on the vehicles, on the quotations, and on every invoice raised since.
The same men are still driving
His elder brother works with him and has done for most of it. Some of the drivers going out for us this week were going out for us in the first year. They know which hotel gate a coach can get through, and which of our regulars sits in front.
The clock is still running
You tell us the trip. A fixed figure comes back in writing, and nothing is held until you say yes to it. The vehicle and the driver’s name and number reach you the evening before.
It is the same job he did before, with a car in place of a circuit.

He has driven these roads himself
The work has been outstation from the first year, and most of it he has driven himself, in every season and at the hours these roads actually get driven.
Out of Delhi and the NCR
Chandigarh, Amritsar, Dehradun, Haridwar, Agra, Jaipur, Shimla and the hills.
And the roads between them, which is the half that decides whether a schedule holds. Which stretch of the Chandigarh highway is dug up this month. Where a tempo traveller can turn around in Haridwar. What Agra really takes on a Saturday morning, rather than what a map says it takes.
None of that is written down anywhere, and it is what a departure time is actually built from.

Four things that are true of every trip, whoever is paying for it.
A chauffeur with every car
Every vehicle we send, from a hatchback to a coach, goes out with a driver at the wheel. That is the only way this fleet is offered.
The driver’s number, the evening before
The vehicle and the driver’s name and number reach you by 9 pm the evening before the trip, on WhatsApp, so a 5 am start does not begin with a stranger.
One published rate card
Every class and every charge is on the tariff, the same card whether you are booking one car or ten. Toll, parking and state entry are passed through at what they actually cost.
A GST invoice behind every trip
The duty slip signed at the end of the trip is what the invoice is built from, so what you are billed matches what you were quoted.
